This time the snow is not here, it is in China. I read on CNN yesterday that China seeded clouds this week to make snow. They are in the worst drought they have had in 38 years and by making it snow it made the ground moist. But I wonder how safe it would be take make snow cream out of idodide snow? I just wonder....

Our family is so excited. We received an email (which was a shock since everything done with them is through snail mail) on Thursday February 12th telling us that we had been approved. But still had to wait on the I797C form to arrive in the mail. YAY!
The next step was to get the I 797 C form authenticated at the Secretary of States office. Since my oldest was home sick yesterday, and it was my turn to stay home, he and I headed to the capital to get the papers authenticated. I decided this at the last minute when I realized I would be home all day, so we through our stuff in the car quickly and pulled out. We had to be to the Sec. State by 10am but wouldn't you know city traffic would put a halt to that. We finally walked in at 10:10. We had to do some paperwork but all in all they were very gracious to us and they agreed to go on and process us in one day. So my son and I enjoyed a trip over to the mall and ate lunch at the Che**secake F*ctory, yum yum. Went back and picked up my papers and we were on our way home by 2:30.
But we do have a prayer request. On the way home I talked with our agency and they gave me the run down on our next payment that is due. God has been so good and provided every step of the way. I have no doubt He will continue but we do have to come up with almost $5000 before we can send our paperwork to China. Please pray for creativity in coming up with fundraising ideas and for the fundraisers to actually work to raise the money needed please. Thanks so much for keeping our family in your prayers. God is good.

Once again we have managed to send another package to USCIS. It can be quite frustrating, all this paperwork, but I keep reminding myself we are on God's timetable not my own. Never in the history of doing this has my social worker had one come back with a problem, but leave it to us to change all that. Really though there wasn't a problem, the guy at USCIS was just looking at the wrong guidelines, you know ones for another state that I don't even live in. So our social worker had to write up an addendum though, for USCIS to finish processing. I really think the whole problem boiled down to a new office that USCIS has opened in D*rham, NC to have our fingerprinting done and thus the problem lies there, I believe.
No sweat, God's timetable, not mine!
